We visited tulip grower Vita Nova in Breezand, Holland. Watch how he grows very tall tulips, including the black tulip Black Hero.

A week full of blossom branches, such as Huckleberry Green Vaccinium, Salix Pussy Willow, Forsythia. And to inspire you: why not combine these blooming branches with the Tulip variety Outfit.

It takes three years to make the Hyacinthus! Erik plants the bulbs in September and take them out of the ground in June/July. They put the bulbs in a heat cell for eighth weeks until they are fully grown. They plant them in crates and keep them in the cooler for fourteen weeks. Then in the heat cell for five more days, then they are ready to be harvested.

Snow Berries are grown outdoors. Some shrubs are between four and ten years old.

In May they are pollinated by the grower's own bees. These bees live in a hive in the middle of the field. The bees work until August, then they rest.

The harvest starts in August and can continue until mid-October. After the harvest, the snowberries receive a treatment for hard berries and a good vase life.

In February the shrubs are completely trimmed. In April they will start to grow again.

This August, Zwarts started growing his Gerberas exclusively and only for Hilverda De Boer!

Sowing, growing, harvest, washing and packing. Maatschap de Jong does it all for our pumpkins.
Besides their 45 hectares in the Netherlands they also have production in Hungary. Because of the warm climate there, we still get dark-coloured ornamental fruit.
All ornamental fruit is grown organically.

Pico Bello Hortensia grows Hydrangeas. The company covers 6.1 ha and is run by Paul Kouwenhoven and his sons Richard and Bob.
Because of their large greenhouse area, they can split it up in different climate zones. So each Hydrangea variety grows in their own optimal climate.

Kallaland is Hilverda De Boer's Supreme Selections supplier of outdoor grown Calla. Their calla lilies, grown on the Dutch fields, have a vase life of minimally two weeks!
